TBAHC_Chapter - 2

From the corner of his eyes Arnav keep on stealing glances at Khushi, correction his newly appointed chef of one month. as she keep on doing her work, preparing his breakfast as it is almost his office time.

One month before Arnav couldn’t have imagined him in a place where his eyes would keep on going again and again in her direction and her thought would enter into his mind frequently even in unexpected times. Who is nothing but a chef!

Well , there is a twist.

She is not only a chef, a sinfully beautiful chef he might say, who is purely traditional by mind words and works, who wears these weird kind ethnic sharee even in foreign county, New York.  Coming to the sharee , the last night dream come alive in his mind, he has this weird kind of fantasy of tucking the end of her pallu of her sharee into the waist line of her which she usually do while cooking. And it’s only usual that he started seeing them in his dreams, knowing how her thoughts disturb him.

Arnav rub his fingers on his head, a sign that says he is hungry, and within seconds he found Khushi beside him, saying him that his food is ready.

Yes! His chef is a mind reader too.

No one understands his needs as she does, well at least when it concerns her job. Well he have this weird kind of attraction too which he guess she have no idea, it will surely freak out the girl if she comes to know what fantasy he has come to form.

Nodding at her, he get up to follow her to the dining table, it will be better for his to finish of this hell of morning ritual and escape into the safe zone of his office and work away from this little minx , the sexy chef of his.

Initially he thought that the attraction is nothing but lack of female company in his life, and it will eventually fade away once he started dating again. He still remember the ghostly white face of her when he first brought a woman as a date to his apartment one night, well then he couldn’t do anything with her as neither Khushi’s thought left his mind nor it help that she is staying under the same roof as him. And after that Arnav singh Raizada has left that topic altogether. It’s not like the idea of asking her directly never crossed his mind, but knowing her in this little bit of time, the one thing  Khushi like girls expect is a lifelong commitment in return, in which he is too afraid to give one.

“Maama !”

The little voice broke Arnav’s thought as He look upon the little girl who is sleepily rubbing her eyes and calling for Khushi,
His Chef’s two years old niece.

The little bit he know about his Chef is she is Indian like him but belongs to a Bengoli family unlike him, in the name of family she has no one except her little niece Aada. She had a sister with whom she has come to this foreign country as  her sister was working as a software trainee in a farm. But before eight months in an accident she left Khushi with the responsibility of this little girl. She has adopted the little girl in the fear of losing her, as this country child care rules are very strict. But even after that all problem is not solved cause for living of course money is needed, so after eight month of struggle is landed as his personal chef.

He looks on as Khushi apolitically glance at him before going to pacify the little kid.

Now he can’t separate the little girl from her neither leave them to face more problems can he??

As a Chef Khushi is everything he needed, she cooks well, in fact cooks Indian cuisine very well. She takes care of his health and diet, and his diabetics too. From the time she has joined she is too perfect and punctual to do her work in time even when she has a little girl to tack care. His Nani (Grandmother) is well assured that his health is perfect and the continuous bugging has reduced to a lot, Leaving him no chances for complaints.

All in all life is all good and perfect, if not there is this weird kind of feeling and the strong attraction.

Finishing his breakfast, Arnav  get up to go.

Ruffling the little girls’s curly unruly hair a little , who smile at him still feeling sleepy in her Maama’s arm, he resist his urge to do the same with Khushi.

“hmm... Mr Raizada...!”

He turn towards her questioningly.

“when will you be back ?”

There she said the usual question, which she ask every time and he skipped to inform her knowingly just to hear her address him.

“will be late today, may be around 11pm.”

“okay , have a nice Day Sir,”

Khushi closed the door behind him, as she sigh looking at her little baby sleepily keeping her face in the crux of her neck. She patted her back lulling her to sleep in case she needs more.

Life is never fair to her , but now she can thank Devi Maa that  she has some stability now in her life, a well paid job and a roof above their head, even now she shudders with the thought that what she might have done if not the job came at the most needed and right time.

She put the little girl again on the bed , in the Room that was given to her.  Caressing her little baby, she has a lot of time in her hand to think upon her past, make planning for her and Aada’s future.

Like every time her at last come wandering to him, He is a good man, Good enough to give her space and the respect that a man could give a Woman. But her life is anything but normal.

But then she couldn’t stop her heart the way is started beating when around him, she has felt the underlying sparks fly and the intense gazes awarded by him. She also know that He is no saint in the matters of Women, but then he has never crossed the line of employer and employee and given her the much expected respect.

He might ask her out on her single hint, but then she also know that she will be a fool to expect commitment from a filthy rich man like him at least towards her.

She is very much thankful to him for the life he has given her, and will be always grateful to him for this , and will always take care that the invisible line that separate him and her is never crossed.

Well , the both lead protagonists of the story met, the sparks fly, both are confused and hold their ground at the same time, what will they do about this little twist of attraction they have for each other?
